At Wild Peace Sanctuary, we are used to seeing painful things: abused and neglected animals, degraded land, and traumatized people. In order not to burn out, lose heart, or become cynical, we try to remain connected to, and guided by, spiritual values. One way we do this is by creating simple land-based rituals and ceremonies to remind us of the beauty and sanctity of all life, and the importance of gratitude to elicit courage and cultivate resilience. Another is by working with film, music, art, and poetry to raise awareness of the issues, bring clarity where the truth has been erased and rewritten, and inspire action. We love to co-create with artists, film-makers, photographers, and poets. To learn more about our events or to explore a collaboration, please reach out.
