SACRED ACTIVISM

At Wild Peace Sanctuary, we are used to seeing painful things: abused and neglected animals, degraded land, and traumatized people. In order not to burn out, lose heart, or become cynical, we try to remain connected to, and guided by, spiritual values. One way we do this is through simple land-based rituals and ceremonies to remind us of the beauty and sanctity of all life, to honor grief, and to remember the power of gratitude to elicit courage and cultivate resilience. Another is by working with film, music, art, and poetry to raise awareness of the issues, bring clarity where the truth has been erased and rewritten, and to inspire action. We love to co-create with artists, film-makers, photographers, and poets. To learn more about our events or to explore a collaboration, please reach out.

“Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water,

the actions of individuals can have far-reaching effects.”
